Humane Pest Bird Management That Protects Native Wildlife

The APC range spans three hardware units — from the compact bin-mounted APC-N1 to the eight-tunnel APC-N8 — all sharing the same AI species detection, CO₂ euthanasia lifecycle and remote monitoring platform. Precision population management with full regulatory compliance built in.

Six-Stage Lifecycle

Full Automation from Bait to Disposal

All APC hardware units execute the same six-stage lifecycle. Hardware configuration varies by model — the lifecycle does not.

01

Bait

Species-specific attractants lure target birds into the detection zone.

02

Detect

AI computer vision confirms species identity before any action.

03

Authorise

A verified operator receives an alert and must explicitly approve action via the remote platform.

04

Sedate

Once authorised, CO₂ is introduced gradually — the bird becomes drowsy and loses consciousness without pain or distress.

05

Dispose

Specimen is automatically sealed and transferred to cold storage.

06

Freeze

Integrated freezing maintains specimen integrity for compliant disposal.

Tunnel Selection Guide

Which Unit and Tunnel Do You Need?

The tunnel is the physical entry point — sized precisely to admit the target species while excluding larger non-target birds. Tunnel size is determined by the species' standing height, not body weight. Select the tunnel that fits your target species, then choose the APC unit that carries it.

Model codes encode both the unit and tunnel size — e.g. APC-N1-T2 is an APC-N1 unit fitted with a T2 tunnel. The APC-N1 accepts all four tunnel sizes; one tunnel is fitted per unit at order time. The APC-N8 supports T1–T2; the APC-N4 supports T3–T4.

APC-N1 Compact Bird Management Unit

Bin-mounted autonomous unit for smaller pest bird species

The APC-N1 is a compact, self-contained pest bird management unit designed to sit directly on a bin lid — the bin is included with the unit. Purpose-built for smaller pest bird species, it delivers the full APC management lifecycle in a minimal footprint. Powered by a DC rechargeable battery and connected via Wi-Fi or GSM, the APC-N1 requires no mains power or fixed infrastructure, making it suitable for locations where a full-size unit cannot be deployed.

Key Features

  • Single-tunnel compact design
  • Bin-mounted — no fixed installation required
  • DC rechargeable battery — no mains power needed
  • Wi-Fi and GSM connectivity
  • Camera-based AI species identification
  • CO₂ euthanasia sequence
  • Remote monitoring via APC portal
  • Remote command support
  • Full portal telemetry integration

These hardware components are present in the APC-N8 and APC-N4. The APC-N1 is a purpose-built compact unit — its capabilities are defined by what its telemetry feed reports.

Battery-Powered Deployment

The APC-N1 runs entirely on a DC rechargeable battery, enabling deployment in locations without mains power — rooftops, remote sites, temporary installations and areas where cabling is impractical.

Bin Included

The APC-N1 ships with its own bin. The unit mounts directly to the bin lid, forming a single self-contained assembly that can be positioned and repositioned without any fixed infrastructure.

APC-N8 Automated Bird Management Unit
Core System

APC-N8 Automated Bird Management Unit

Full-featured eight-tunnel unit for smaller pest bird species

The APC-N8 is the flagship Avian Pest Control automated pest bird management unit, optimised for smaller pest bird species. A self-contained, weatherproof machine that executes the full six-stage pest bird management lifecycle — bait, detect, sedate, euthanise, dispose and freeze — with zero manual intervention required between service intervals. Eight tunnels maximise throughput for high-pressure sites.

Key Features

  • Eight-tunnel high-throughput design
  • Species-specific bait dispensing
  • AI-powered computer vision species ID
  • Gradual CO₂ sedation mechanism
  • Remote euthanasia authorisation required
  • Automated sealed specimen disposal
  • Integrated cold storage / freezing
  • Tamper-proof event logging
  • Full compliance audit trail
  • Optional roof attachment for open outdoor sites

Roof Attachment (Optional)

Where no undercover area is available, an optional roof attachment can be fitted to protect the unit from direct weather exposure, enabling fully outdoor deployment without requiring a sheltered structure.

Eight Tunnels for Maximum Throughput

The APC-N8 is optimised for smaller pest bird species where eight tunnels can be accommodated within the standard footprint, maximising management capacity at high-pressure sites.

APC-N4 Automated Bird Management Unit
Large Species

APC-N4 Automated Bird Management Unit

Four-tunnel unit for larger pest bird species over 200 g

The APC-N4 shares the same footprint, hardware suite and full-feature capability as the APC-N8, configured with four tunnels to accommodate larger pest bird species exceeding 200 g. Where the target species requires greater tunnel dimensions, the APC-N4 provides the same automated lifecycle management — bait, detect, sedate, euthanise, dispose and freeze — in a layout scaled to the bird.

Key Features

  • Four wider tunnels for larger species
  • Same full hardware suite as APC-N8
  • Species-specific bait dispensing
  • AI-powered computer vision species ID
  • Gradual CO₂ sedation mechanism
  • Remote euthanasia authorisation required
  • Automated sealed specimen disposal
  • Integrated cold storage / freezing
  • Tamper-proof event logging
  • Full compliance audit trail

Configured for Larger Species

The APC-N4 uses the same chassis and hardware as the APC-N8. Four tunnels replace eight to provide the additional internal dimensions required for pest bird species exceeding 200 g body weight.

Roof Attachment (Optional)

The same optional roof attachment available for the APC-N8 is compatible with the APC-N4, enabling fully outdoor deployment without a sheltered structure.
